Edgar La’Darrius Tavonn Donwell is a devoted husband, father,

veteran, and minister with a lifelong commitment to faith, service,

and community impact.

Originally from Meridian, Mississippi, La’Darrius is the son of Patricia

Ann Donwell and the late Edgar Donwell Sr., and the grandson of

Eva L. Randle. He is a 2009 graduate of Southeast Lauderdale High

School and was raised attending Fairview Baptist Church in Meridian,

where his faith began to take deep roots. His spiritual journey was

shaped by influential leaders and mentors, including Pastor Thompson

and a very special mentor, Pastor Rodney Payne.

La’Darrius answered the call to serve his country by joining the United

States Air Force, where he served six years. His time in the Air Force helped shape the discipline, leadership, and servant mindset that continue to guide his life today.

Following his military service, La’Darrius has continued his dedication to serving others through his work and ministry. He currently works with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), investing in young people and helping develop future leaders. Alongside his professional career, he has faithfully served in ministry for more than 15 years, driven by a deep passion to encourage, uplift, and guide others in their walk with God.

La’Darrius has a heart for giving back to his community and believes that faith should be lived out through service, compassion, and mentorship. His ministry focuses on inspiring people to recognize that God is present in every moment of life.

He often shares a simple but powerful truth that shapes his message:

God sees everything — and He cares.

This message is at the heart of his first book, a children’s story centered on faith, friendship, and the quiet reassurance that even when no one else is watching, God sees and cares about every child.

La’Darrius has been married for 15 years and is a proud father to his son Tyson and daughter Lexi. His family remains the foundation of his life and ministry, and together they are committed to living a life that reflects faith, love, and service.

Through Donwell Ministries, La’Darrius seeks to encourage individuals, families, and communities to grow in faith, walk in purpose, and remember that they are never unseen by God.

Through ministry, community service, and faith-based education, we seek to uplift people and help them walk in purpose, hope, and obedience to YHWH.

We desire to inspire young people, strengthen families, and encourage communities to pursue righteousness, accountability, and love for one another.
